The big-bucks world of sports gambling is the scene in this highly-charged story about a betting advisor and his star odds-maker. Walter Abrams (Pacino) is the owner of a sports betting hotline that caters to high rollers. He employs former college football star, Brandon Lang (McConaughey), and soon discovers that his new recruit has a knack for handicapping football games. Their instant bond leads to enormous success, but is it strong enough to weather the inevitable hard knocks in their high-risk world?
