When it comes to connecting with women, men might as well be from another planet. Which works out to be great news for Harold (Shandling) who really is from another planet! On a mission to impregnate an earthling in his planet's first step toward ruling the universe, he has been trained in the fine art of sexual intercourse. There's just one problem though - his planet is only populated by the male species - so the kind of training Harold gets is incomplete. Clueless about the courting ways and the emotional needs of Earth women, Harold finally stumbles upon a willing participant - Susan (Bening) - a reformed alcoholic - who is the perfect mate - except for the fact that she won't have sex until after she is married - a concept totally alien even to our alien!
