It's 1957 and it's the height of the Cold War. Indiana "Indy" Jones and new sidekick Mutt Williams go to the remote corners of Peru in a quest to find the Crystal Skull of Akator. They are relentlessly pursued by ruthless Soviet agents, chief among them Irina Spalko who will stop at nothing to get their hands on the Crystal Skull, a legendary object of fascination, superstition and fear which the Soviets believe can help them dominate the world.
